On Saturday, the Hebrew channel "Kan" reported that the Israeli army has been officially instructed to begin preparations for a new deployment in accordance with the framework agreement reached with Lebanon.

In the coming days, a series of discussions and deliberations are expected at both the military and political levels. Final decisions regarding the repositioning of forces and the determination of deployment routes will be made based on the outcomes of these meetings and directives from the political leadership.

The Hebrew channel emphasized in its report that the entire agreement will ultimately be subject to a practical implementation test on the ground during the upcoming phase.

Israel and Lebanon signed the framework agreement under American auspices on the evening of Friday, June 26, 2026, following a successful fifth round of negotiations held in Washington.

The trilateral framework agreement was signed after four days of negotiations hosted in Washington under American sponsorship, marking the first breakthrough in the process of implementing the ceasefire agreement between the two sides. This occurred amid American efforts to stabilize the truce and advance execution arrangements.

On Saturday, the U.S. State Department released the text of the framework agreement that Israel and Lebanon concluded through American mediation in Washington on Friday.

The department stated in a press release: "The governments of Israel and Lebanon, with the full support of the United States of America led by President Donald Trump, affirm their shared goal of achieving lasting peace and security."

It added: "As outlined in this trilateral framework and through future agreements, the two countries declare their ambition to end the conflict between them, ensure full sovereignty and security for both, and establish peaceful neighborly relations."
