Israeli Army Reports Gunfire from Lebanon, Threatens Retaliation

The Israeli army announced receiving an initial report of gunfire directed at its forces operating in the Mount Ramim area. The troops responded with gunfire, eliminating a militant in the vicinity, while no injuries were reported among Israeli forces. The incident remains ongoing.

Israeli Defense Forces continue to conduct sweeping operations in the area, supported by air force aircraft that have been deployed to the scene.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the military killed an armed individual who fired on an Israeli force near the border strip with Lebanon, and a search is underway for a second militant.

Additionally, Channel 14 reported that the Israeli cabinet has instructed the army to respond in Beirut to any missile landing in the northern region without awaiting further approval.
