Israeli Chief of Staff Inspects Shqif Heights and Comments on Hezbollah Threat
Israeli Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir visited the Shqif Castle Heights, highlighting Hezbollah's underground infrastructure and Israel's readiness for rapid response.
From the heights of Shqif Castle, Israeli Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir described the area as a strategic site densely packed with terrorist infrastructure. He stated that Hezbollah, backed and directed by Iran over decades, has constructed underground systems and tunnels in this region aimed at threatening northern towns. Currently, Israeli forces control the main positions above ground as well as the routes and facilities below.
General Zamir emphasized that the Lebanese Army must fulfill its obligations under the historic agreement signed and work to clear the area of Hezbollah operatives. Concurrently, he affirmed that the Israeli military will persist firmly in eliminating threats originating from Lebanese territory and remains prepared to launch a swift offensive should the ceasefire be violated.

He further added that the military achievements of Israeli forces have weakened Hezbollah, leaving the group exhausted and defeated in every confrontation with Israeli troops.
