Israeli security officials state no withdrawal orders yet and expect weeks before Lebanese army readiness for zone handover.

Israeli security officials told Yedioth Ahronoth that there are currently no orders to withdraw their forces from their positions in Lebanon. They indicated that transferring control of the two trial zones will take several weeks until the Lebanese army is prepared.
The officials added that their assessment is the Lebanese army is unable to dismantle Hezbollah. They further stated that Israeli forces will maintain a security strip, keep the enemy away from northern towns, and carry out a comprehensive clearance operation.
