Karami: Our Plan Is to Secure the Right to Education Despite Escalating Dangers

Minister of Education and Higher Education Riya Karami noted that "the Israeli enemy is persistently eliminating educational institutions from existence, particularly in areas it occupies or targets with fire, aiming to undermine citizens' dreams of returning to their villages, as schools are the institutions that anchor populations in their villages and towns."

She added: "As part of this relentless, barbaric, and criminal policy, the enemy today morning detonated the official school, the municipal building, the kindergarten, the village clinic, and a local center in the village of Zoutr al-Sharqiya."

"We do not limit ourselves to condemning and denouncing these repeated atrocities; we repeatedly raise our voice to awaken consciences and appeal to major influential countries to halt this direct targeting of the foundations of life, disregard for all humanitarian values, and attempts to deprive children of their right to education and a dignified life," Karami said.

She emphasized that "our plan at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education is to hold firm to the land and educational and social institutions, securing the right to education regardless of how great the dangers become."
