Karami Presents Ministry Development Plan to President Aoun
Education Minister Reema Karami briefed President Joseph Aoun on school year preparations, ministry modernization efforts, and plans for Lebanese University tenure issues.

Minister of Education and Higher Education Reema Karami stated after meeting with President of the Republic Joseph Aoun that she "informed him about the launch of the academic year and the steps being taken to facilitate work and remove obstacles, as well as briefed him on her efforts regarding the file of reforming and developing the ministry specifically."
She added: "During President Aoun's visit to our pavilion at the Expiria EXPO, the staff there informed him about the mechanization works we are undertaking and their expected impact on managing the ministry and providing the best services to students."
The discussion also covered the files of the Lebanese University and tenure within it, and the necessity of accelerating new elections for the Deans Council. The President was supportive of these mentioned steps and blessed them.
Karami confirmed that "we are working to include the tenure file in the first cabinet session held in the presence of President Aoun."
The discussion also touched upon the topic of school consolidation, and Reema explained the working mechanism we adopted and the cooperation that took place with the local community and municipalities to secure payment of school rents, as happened in a number of towns, which enabled us to respect the wishes of the local community while maintaining the established standards. President Aoun agreed with her on the necessity of establishing school clusters, so that, for example, only one or two students do not remain in a class.
Karami concluded: "Through this, we managed to balance between adhering to current laws and respecting the priorities of the region."
