Major General Edgar Laoudes, Director General of State Security, inspected the regional directorates of Baalbek-Hermel and Bekaa, urging personnel to maintain full readiness in fighting corruption, preventing monopolization and price manipulation, and combating smuggling.

Issued by the General Directorate of State Security - Media, Guidance, and Public Relations Department, the following statement: "The Director General of State Security, Major General Edgar Laoudes, inspected the regional directorates of Baalbek-Hermel and Bekaa, where he was briefed by officers on the nature of the tasks being carried out, before giving the necessary directives to continue work with efficiency and high readiness. He also praised the performance and efforts of the military personnel. Major General Laoudes called on the military personnel to maintain full readiness in carrying out tasks to combat corruption within public administrations and institutions, and to work on preventing monopolization and price manipulation in coordination with the competent authorities, in addition to combating smuggling operations in all their forms. He affirmed that the General Directorate of State Security continues to perform its national role in protecting the state and its institutions, stressing that it will remain worthy of the trust of the Lebanese people who rely on it to enhance stability and safeguard institutions."
