Lebanese Army Chief: Forces Continue Implementing Framework Agreement Tasks
Army Commander General Rudolf Khawam affirmed the Lebanese Armed Forces’ ongoing implementation of all tasks tied to the Framework Agreement amid continued Israeli violations.

Lebanese Army Commander General Rudolf Khawam received Edward Gabriel, former U.S. ambassador and current head of the American Task Force on Lebanon (ATFL), at his office in Yarze. Gabriel was accompanied by members of ATFL’s board of directors. The meeting included a review of the latest developments in Lebanon and the broader region.

Ambassador Gabriel commended the sacrifices made by Lebanese military personnel and underscored the army’s critical role in maintaining national security and stability.
General Khawam confirmed that the Lebanese Armed Forces remain committed to carrying out all duties linked to the Framework Agreement, operating within the resources currently available. He noted that Israeli occupation forces continue their attacks and breaches of existing understandings under the agreement.
