Brigadier General Imad Khreish, Director General of the Lebanese Civil Defense, conducted an inspection tour in the city of Tripoli accompanied by Rashid Issa, a member of the Mina Municipal Council. The visit included the Basateen area of Tripoli, where they examined the proposed site for establishing a new civil defense center and operations facility aimed at enhancing the readiness of the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate and expanding its service coverage in the region.

The delegation then proceeded to the Haran–Mina area to inspect the proposed location for a maritime civil defense center. This center is intended to strengthen marine rescue capabilities, improve preparedness levels, and increase the speed of response to various emergency situations.

The tour concluded with a visit to the International University of the East (EIU), where Brigadier General Khreish met with the university president, Dr. Nazih Al-Jar, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Nasri, and the Director of Public Relations, Suzanne Jaber.

During this meeting, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate General and the International University of the East (EIU). The agreement aims to enhance collaboration in training, academic, and awareness fields, facilitate the exchange of expertise, promote public safety culture, develop capabilities, and serve the community.
