Lebanese Foreign Minister and Expatriates Affairs Yusuf Raji received a phone call from Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, during which they discussed recent developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as bilateral relations between Beirut and Ottawa.

According to a statement, the Canadian minister inquired about "the repercussions of the US-Iran agreement on the Lebanese arena," affirming "her country's support for Lebanon and its continued provision of assistance during this critical phase."

In response, Minister Raji emphasized that "the highest priority remains a ceasefire," welcoming "any agreement that serves stability," while stressing that "Lebanon continues to pursue negotiations on an independent track separate from the US-Iran path, aiming for a comprehensive solution that preserves its sovereignty and stability."
