Foreign Minister Joseph Rijji received Danish Ambassador Mette Thigesen’s credentials in Beirut, welcoming her to her new diplomatic post and reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to bilateral cooperation.

Lebanese Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriates Joseph Rijji met with Mette Thigesen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, upon her assumption of duties in Beirut. During the meeting, Rijji accepted a copy of her credentials accredited to Lebanon.
Rijji extended his welcome to Ambassador Thigesen and expressed his best wishes for her success in carrying out her new diplomatic responsibilities. He emphasized Lebanon’s full commitment to cooperating with her to facilitate her work throughout her term of office.
The two sides reviewed existing bilateral relations between Lebanon and Denmark. Both affirmed the importance of strengthening and developing those ties across all domains, in line with the shared interests of the two countries and to further deepen the friendship between them.
