Lebanese-French Meetings Aim to Attract Tech and Industrial Investments
Lebanon's Industry Minister Joe Issa El-Khoury held meetings in Paris with French business leaders to attract foreign investment and strengthen industrial partnerships.

Industry Minister Joe Issa El-Khoury, accompanied by the Lebanese Ambassador to France and his delegation, held a series of meetings in Paris with prominent figures from the French business community. These efforts aim to attract foreign investments and enhance international industrial partnerships.
In this context, El-Khoury met with Patrick Martin, President of the French Business Confederation (MEDEF), which comprises more than 240,000 companies across various production sectors.
Discussions focused on ways to strengthen industrial cooperation between Lebanon and France, and to attract new French investments, particularly in technology industries, through establishing productive partnerships and leveraging Lebanese engineering and technical expertise.
The talks also addressed the possibility of adopting cross-border industrial cooperation models, including Nearshoring and Offshoring, to enable French companies to expand their production capabilities and develop activities in Lebanon, while integrating Lebanese industrial enterprises into global production chains.
El-Khoury affirmed that "Lebanon possesses the prerequisites to be an industrial and technological partner for French companies, thanks to its human competencies, industrial experience, and ability to provide competitive production solutions with high added value."
He invited Martin to visit Lebanon next January at the head of a delegation of French industrialists and businessmen, to explore available investment opportunities and the potential for establishing direct partnerships with Lebanese industrial institutions.
It was also discussed to organize a forum for Lebanese industrial investment in Paris, bringing together French investors and companies with Lebanese industrialists to present specific projects and investment opportunities. A joint committee will prepare for this event and follow up on the outcomes of the meetings.
In the same context, El-Khoury met with Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, Honorary President of MEDEF and Honorary President of the Francophone Employers Alliance. The meeting addressed opportunities to expand Lebanon's economic and industrial relations network with the French and Francophone business community.
These meetings fall within the Ministry of Industry's direction to strengthen Lebanon's position as a center for specialized industrial production and technological innovation, attracting investments that contribute to creating quality jobs, increasing exports, and raising the added value of Lebanese industry.
