Lebanese PM Discusses Boosting British Support for Lebanese Army
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met with a British parliamentary delegation to discuss enhancing support for the Lebanese army and regional developments.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a British parliamentary delegation at the Grand Serail, which included the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee Dame Emily Thornberry and MPs Ibtisam Mohammed, Alan Jemili, and Edward Morello, with the British Ambassador to Lebanon Hamish Cowell also present.
The meeting involved a review of recent developments in Lebanon and the surrounding region.
Delegation members expressed their solidarity with Lebanon, affirming their support for maintaining the ceasefire, the full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, and the exclusive possession of arms by the Lebanese state.
The discussion also focused on ways to enhance British support for the Lebanese army, while the delegation was briefed on the existing cooperation between Lebanon and Syria, emphasizing respect for the sovereignty of both countries and efforts to strengthen their shared interests.
