Sources in Baabda confirmed that the communications held yesterday are expected to ease the atmosphere for today's negotiations, expressing gratitude to all parties involved in reaching an agreement to neutralize the southern suburbs in exchange for halting attacks on Israel. They emphasized that the Lebanese delegation's demand will be a comprehensive ceasefire, noting that the opportunity has significantly increased after yesterday's talks.

According to Baabda sources speaking to mtv, Hezbollah must declare whether it agrees or disagrees with the deal to neutralize the southern suburbs in return for stopping strikes against Israel. The sources highlighted that all communications with Hezbollah officials or President Nabih Berri occur directly.

The sources affirmed that material and practical circumstances have necessitated this agreement, which will serve as a starting point to expand the negotiation process. They indicated that the Lebanese delegation is prepared to discuss any draft declaration of intentions, recalling that Israel had previously retracted, confirming that Lebanon's position was the prevailing one.

They stressed that Lebanon’s stance is complete and coherent, emphasizing the parallel tracks of Israeli withdrawal, the return of prisoners, the extension of state authority, and the monopoly of arms by the state.
