Lebanon Wins Middle East Grand Prize and Second Place Globally in Huawei ICT Competition
Lebanon's national team secured the Middle East grand prize and second place worldwide in Huawei's 10th ICT Competition held in Shenzhen, China.

Lebanon's national team achieved a significant global milestone by winning the grand prize for the Middle East and securing second place worldwide in the Cloud & AI track at the 10th edition of the Huawei ICT Competition finals, held in Shenzhen, China. This accomplishment raised the Lebanese flag high despite the country's ongoing challenges.
The journey to this achievement began at the national qualifiers, where student Yori Yaacoub from the Faculty of Engineering at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik ranked first in Lebanon. This victory granted the university the honor of leading the national team under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Rita Hajij.
Following a strong performance in the regional competitions and qualification for the global finals, the Lebanese team competed among 131 elite teams from over 40 countries and regions worldwide. These teams were selected from more than 210,000 students who participated across various competition tracks, including Networking, Cloud Computing, Computing, and Innovation.

This distinguished achievement reflects the capabilities and expertise of Lebanese youth in advanced technological fields, demonstrating that creativity and determination can overcome all obstacles. Once again, Lebanon asserts its presence on the global stage through the talent and ambition of its young people.
