Lebanon's President Aoun Affirms Commitment to Strong Ties with Arab States
President Joseph Aoun praised the Gulf Cooperation Council's support for Lebanon and emphasized Lebanon's dedication to maintaining strong relations with Arab countries.

President Joseph Aoun highlighted the supportive stance issued by the Gulf Cooperation Council's General Secretariat toward Lebanon and its people amid current challenges, reflecting the deep fraternal and historical bonds linking Lebanon with the GCC countries.
The president expressed appreciation for the GCC states' emphasis on preserving Lebanon's security, stability, and territorial integrity, as well as their commitment to backing the reform process and strengthening state institutions to meet the Lebanese people's aspirations for a strong, capable, and just state.
He conveyed his gratitude for the GCC's call to extend Lebanese state sovereignty over all its territory and to confine weapons to legitimate institutions, in alignment with the Lebanese constitution and relevant international resolutions, notably United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and related Lebanese government decisions.
President Aoun also expressed deep thanks for the Gulf countries' readiness to continue providing humanitarian and developmental support to Lebanon, aiding in alleviating economic burdens and improving living conditions for the Lebanese population. He affirmed Lebanon's ongoing commitment to fostering the best relations with its Arab brotherly countries, particularly the GCC states, and to advancing cooperation across various fields to serve mutual interests and reinforce regional stability.
