Lebanon's Tourism Syndicates Union Denies Connection to Unofficial Statement
The Tourism Syndicates Union in Lebanon clarified that a recently issued statement under a similar name does not represent its views or affiliation.

The Tourism Syndicates Union in Lebanon has clarified that a statement released under the name "Lebanese Union of Tourism Syndicates" is not connected to the Union and does not reflect its stance or opinion in any way.
The Union, chaired by Mr. Pierre Ashkar, comprises the following tourism syndicates:
• The Syndicate of Hotel Owners, led by Union President Pierre Ashkar.
• The Syndicate of Restaurant, Café, Nightclub, and Patisserie Owners, headed by Union Vice President Tony Al-Rami.
• The Syndicate of Marine Tourism Establishments, under the leadership of Union Secretary-General Jean Berouti.
• The Syndicate of Tourism and Travel Offices, chaired by Jean Abboud.
• The Syndicate of Furnished Apartment Owners, led by Ziad Al-Laban.
• The Syndicate of Private Car Rental Agencies, headed by Mohammed Daqdouq.
• The Syndicate of Tourist Guides, chaired by Jean Claude Hawat.
The Union concluded its statement by emphasizing that any declaration issued by other entities does not represent the Tourism Syndicates Union in Lebanon nor express its positions, prompting this clarification to avoid any confusion.
