The Litani River Authority has announced ongoing maintenance and cleaning operations as part of the Sidon-Jezzine irrigation project. Technical teams are conducting a comprehensive cleaning campaign around the 600-channel in Annan and other intakes, along with pressure breakers along the project route. Herbicides are being sprayed near affiliated facilities to facilitate team movement and improve distribution and maintenance efficiency, ensuring optimal irrigation water delivery to farmers. The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to high-efficiency work in support of the agricultural sector and sustainable water management. It urged beneficiaries to cooperate in keeping intakes and installations clean and to report any malfunctions. Subscribers are also encouraged to settle their dues at the Lab'a collection department during official working hours.

The National Litani River Authority announced in a statement that it "is continuing the implementation of its field operations within the scope of the Sidon-Jezzine irrigation project, where its technical teams have launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign around the 600-channel in Annan and the other intakes, as well as the pressure breakers along the project."
The works also included spraying herbicides around the affiliated facilities, "which contributes to facilitating the movement of the technical teams and enabling them to carry out distribution and maintenance operations with the required efficiency, within the framework of ensuring the provision of irrigation water to farmers at the best level of service."
The Authority affirmed its "commitment to continuity of work with high efficiency, in support of the agricultural sector and the promotion of good water resource management."
It called on "all beneficiaries to cooperate and maintain the cleanliness of the intakes and installations, and to report any malfunctions in the interest of the public good," and also called on "subscribers to take the initiative to pay their dues at the authority's collection department in Lab'a, during official working hours."
