The Litani River National Authority announced the removal of illegal and old concrete constructions on its expropriated properties in the Kfarzabad area, as part of protecting public water assets and preventing unlawful encroachments.

The Litani River National Authority announced that it "has begun implementing works to remove violations and illegal, old concrete constructions erected within the expropriated properties belonging to the authority in the Kfarzabad real estate area, as part of protecting public water assets and safeguarding the authority's facilities and investments, and preventing any illegal occupation or encroachment on the expropriated properties allocated for water projects and facilities."

It affirmed in a statement that "these works come in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and after conducting the necessary technical and administrative inspections, as it was found that there have been illegal constructions and encroachments erected for years within the scope of the expropriations belonging to the Litani River National Authority."

The authority stressed that it "will continue to implement the necessary legal and administrative procedures to remove encroachments on public water assets and its expropriated properties, in coordination with the competent authorities, to preserve the public interest and protect water facilities and resources."
