Man Detained in Jounieh Hotel Following Video of Assault on Wife

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:

A video circulated on some social media platforms showing a man physically assaulting his wife inside a restaurant in Chtaura, related to family disagreements.

Following precise monitoring and investigation, the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces identified the man's location where he was hiding. He was apprehended inside a hotel in Jounieh. It was confirmed that his name is:

– T. M., born in 1992, Lebanese nationality.

Legal procedures were carried out against him in accordance with the directive of the competent judiciary.
