Marqas Leaves Beirut to Attend Media and Communications Conference in Amman
Lebanese Information Minister Paul Marqas departed Beirut for Amman to participate in the 'Future of Media and Communications' conference, with plans to meet Jordanian counterparts and discuss bilateral cooperation.

Information Minister Paul Marqas left Beirut heading to the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the events of the "Future of Media and Communications" conference, where he will take part in the opening session at noon.
It is expected that Marqas will meet this afternoon with his Jordanian counterpart, Minister of Communications Mohammed Momani, to discuss bilateral relations and activate cooperation between the two countries.
He will also meet in the evening at the Lebanese Embassy in Amman with members of the Lebanese community and then the Lebanese-Jordanian Business Forum.
On the second day of the conference, Marqas will participate in a discussion session and dialogue with Arab information ministers, under the title "Arab Media Ministers and Leaders Envisioning the Future," which addresses the horizons of Arab media and the challenges it faces amid digital transformations and rapid developments in the telecommunications sector and ways to enhance joint cooperation. It is expected that Minister Marqas will speak about the new media law in Lebanon and the journey of updating and reforming media legislation that began in Lebanon during the current presidential term.
