Marqos: We Will Amend the Media Law and Repeal the Provision Criminalizing Journalists

Announced by Minister of Information Boulos Marqos from the Parliament, he expressed opposition to the provision criminalizing journalists, noting that the media law was "passed without any amendments".

Marqos affirmed he will work on introducing amendments to the law, saying: "I will strive to include amendments to it".

He added: "I will work diligently, as I have previously done, to introduce the remaining media and union proposals that the Parliament did not adopt".
