Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Marqas met with Ali Alloush, head of the Press Photographers Union, to discuss the new media law and bilateral cooperation.

Minister of Information Paul Marqas received Ali Alloush, head of the Press Photographers Union, where they discussed the new media law.
After the meeting, Alloush stressed "the importance of continuing work on the law in a way that guarantees the rights of Lebanese media professionals and preserves their professional interests," noting that "the meeting addressed aspects of cooperation between the Lebanese and Syrian ministries of information, particularly regarding facilitating the entry of media professionals between the two countries, and facilitating the movement of media professionals from both sides," pointing out that "this file remains under follow-up and coordination between the Ministry of Information and the relevant professional bodies."
He added: "It was agreed with the minister to organize a ceremony to honor press photographers in Lebanon, in appreciation of their national and professional role, and their efforts in follow-up and field coverage, with the date of the ceremony to be determined soon."
