Issued by the Media Office of the Minister of Education and Higher Education Rima Karami the following statement: "The Minister of Education was surprised yesterday by a new campaign of accusations led by some voices from the Parliamentary Education Committee accusing her of evading attendance at the committee meeting to discuss the official exams file.

The Media Office is keen to clarify that the Education Committee called for a meeting to discuss matters and files related exclusively to the Lebanese University, and the President of the University and the Advisor to the Minister of Education for Higher Education Affairs attended. However, the committee decided to change the agenda by adding an item related to the official exams without notifying the Ministry.

The Minister of Education has never evaded her responsibilities or even confrontation, and the confrontation she waged in the face of the populism and demagoguery of some and their offensive words is only evidence that she has not and will not evade her responsibilities in defending the future of students and the level of education in Lebanon until the last day of her tenure in this position.

Enough overbidding, methods, and games that no longer deceive anyone".
