Minister of Public Works Faiz Fassamni held a series of meetings in his office today addressing developmental, service-related, and strategic issues. These included follow-ups on infrastructure and transport projects as well as efforts to strengthen cooperation with international organizations. Additionally, he presided over the first technical coordination meeting of the Lebanese delegation assigned to oversee the "India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor" (IMEC) project.

Fassamni received Justice Minister Adel Nassar, Judge Mirna Bayda, Judge Walid Al-Maalem, the Beirut Bar Association President Imad Martinos, and Bar Council member Nadim Hamadeh. The meeting took place in the presence of the General Director of Roads and Buildings Engineer Pierre Maalouf, Buildings Director Engineer Amir Al-Jamal, and Head of the Projects Department Engineer Ibrahim Saliba. Discussions focused on the restoration and rehabilitation of the Commercial Registry building in Baabda.

The minister also met with Member of Parliament Farid Al-Bustani, where they discussed several developmental issues and matters of mutual interest.

Within the framework of cooperation with international institutions, Minister Fassamni convened a meeting with a World Bank delegation led by Enrique Blanco Armas, the Group's Country Manager in Lebanon, accompanied by a team of experts. The meeting included the Prime Minister’s advisor Dr. Sate’ Arnout, General Director of Land and Maritime Transport Brigadier General Mazen Basbous, General Director of the Railways and Public Transport Authority Ziad Shia, Chairman of Tripoli Port Authority Engineer Iskandar Bendali, and Chairman of Beirut Port Authority and Investment Marwan Al-Nafi. The session was dedicated to discussing Lebanon’s national transport strategy, enhancing technical and operational cooperation, and developing infrastructure in the transport sector.

In a related development, Fassamni chaired the first technical coordination meeting of the Lebanese delegation tasked with following up on the "India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor" (IMEC) project. This initiative aligns with Lebanon’s engagement in regional efforts to strengthen trade and transport connectivity among participating countries, aiming to enable Lebanon to capitalize on economic and investment opportunities and to bolster its position within the regional transport and trade network.
