Minister Hani Praises Tripoli Chamber Partnership as Model of Public-Private Integration

Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani, accompanied by Gloria Abu Zeid, Agricultural Engineer and Director General of the General Directorate of Cooperatives, along with Alghania Makhoul, Head of the Cooperation Department in the North and Director of the Northern Cooperation Center, visited Tawfiq Debbousi, President of the Tripoli and North Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture. The visit took place at the Northern Cooperation Center, affiliated with the General Directorate of Cooperatives at the Ministry of Agriculture, and hosted by the Chamber at its headquarters, with the presence of the Chamber’s Director General, Linda Sultan.

Hani affirmed that the partnership with the Tripoli Chamber represents a successful model of integration between the public and private sectors. He praised the initiative by the Tripoli and North Chamber to host the center and emphasized the importance of building upon and developing this cooperation in the upcoming phase.

On this occasion, Hani and Gloria Abu Zeid presented an honorary shield to President Debbousi as a token of appreciation and gratitude for his role in hosting the Northern Cooperation Center. This gesture also aimed to support the progress of agricultural cooperatives and strengthen institutional partnership in serving national agricultural development.

According to a statement from the Chamber, the visit expressed thanks and appreciation to Debbousi and the Tripoli and North Chamber for hosting the Northern Cooperation Center for several years. This hosting has enabled the center to continue performing its duties in serving agricultural cooperatives across the northern governorates and has reinforced cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Chamber in supporting the agricultural sector.
