Minister of Environment Delivers Fire Prevention Equipment and Signs MOUs with Al-Daniyeh Municipalities

Lebanon's Minister of Environment, Tamara Al-Zein, will deliver fire prevention equipment to municipalities in the Al-Daniyeh region and sign two memoranda of understanding as part of a community-based forest fire risk management project.

Minister of Environment Tamara Al-Zein will deliver equipment dedicated to the Union of Municipalities of Jurd Al-Daniyeh and the Municipality of Sir Al-Daniyeh, within the framework of the Community-Based Forest Fire Risk Management Project. The delivery is scheduled for next Monday, October 12, during which two memoranda of understanding will be signed.

The Ministry announced that "the visit program begins from the Ministry of Environment in Beirut at 9:00 AM towards Al-Daniyeh, including a meeting with the President of the Union of Municipalities of Jurd Al-Daniyeh, Tarek Al-Shafshaq, in Hazmiyet Al-Daniyeh, before heading to the Union headquarters in Taraneh to inaugurate the Forest Fire Prevention Operations Room."

The ceremony for delivering the equipment and signing the two memoranda of understanding will take place at the Al-Daniyeh Complex for Care and Development within the Social Welfare Institutions in Sir Al-Daniyeh, at 12:30 PM. The event includes a welcome and introductory speech, a speech by the Minister of Environment, the official handover of equipment and signing of the memoranda of understanding, as well as a commemorative photo.

Participating in the ceremony are the President of the Union of Municipalities of Jurd Al-Daniyeh, Tarek Al-Shafshaq, and the President of the Municipality of Sir Al-Daniyeh, Samer Diab Hawsher. Afterwards, the delegation will head to the Zahlan Cave and the mountainous highlands of Al-Daniyeh before returning to Beirut.
