Minister of Interior: Rehabilitate Rainwater Networks!
Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar ordered governors to instruct municipalities and local unions to rehabilitate rainwater networks and remove obstructions before winter.
Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar requested all governors, before the arrival of winter, to circulate instructions to all municipalities, municipal unions, and caimacams regarding villages without municipalities, each within their jurisdiction, as follows:
– Rehabilitate rainwater networks, and remove all obstacles and encroachments existing within winter channels, ditches, winter drains, and riverbeds, and transport them to legal landfills.
– Coordinate directly with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Energy and Water, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense, each in their respective areas, when necessary in this regard.
– Remove encroachments and prevent any new encroachments on public river properties, to prevent flooding or diversion of water outside channels and rivers.
