Minister of Labor Chairs Meeting to Discuss Implementation of Decrees for Law 319 on Retirement

Minister of Labor Mohammad Haidar today chaired a meeting of the National Supervisory Committee on the implementation of the retirement and social protection system. The committee comprises Dr. Mohammad Karky, Director General of the National Social Security Fund; Dr. Bashara Al-Assmar, President of the General Confederation of Workers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Social Security; Makram Ghosn, Head of the Technical Committee at Social Security; Marlene Atallah, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Labor; Ms. Nasreen Mashmoushi, President of the Civil Service Council; Munir Al-Bassat, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Social Security Fund and representative of the Industrialists' Association; Raji Jbour from the International Labour Organization; and Hassan Hatit, the committee's rapporteur. The session discussed the application of the decrees of Law 319 and the conditions fulfilled by the Civil Service Council for the Investment Committee and its president, contributing to the implementation of Law 319 concerning the social protection and retirement system. It was agreed that the Civil Service Council would announce the deadline for submitting applications for candidates starting from the nineteenth of this month.
