Ministry of Culture: Submission of Applications for the Foreign Film Category

The Ministry of Culture announced the acceptance of applications for the Foreign Film category of the 2027 Oscars, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States, with the specialized committee setting the criteria and procedures for selecting the Lebanese film entry. The final deadline for receiving applications is Monday, September 14, 2026.

All applications must be submitted at the Directorate General of Cultural Affairs – Ministry of Culture, in the UNESCO Palace, Beirut, first floor, during official working hours, and also sent to the following email address: [email protected].

1. A nomination letter addressed to the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General of Cultural Affairs.

2. A one-page synopsis.

3. Available promotional materials.

4. Proof of theatrical screening.

5. A promotional plan in case the film is selected.

Each film must ensure it meets all requirements specified by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as listed on their official website.
