The Ministry of Public Works and Transport continues the implementation of maintenance and rehabilitation works on the road adjacent to Qaraoun Dam, which connects the Mshaghra area with the rest of the West Bekaa towns, in order to address the damages inflicted by Israeli attacks during the recent war on Lebanon.

As part of monitoring the progress of the works, the Regional Director of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in Bekaa, Engineer Walid Al-Hajjar, accompanied by a number of ministry employees, conducted a field inspection of the damage sites and works, reviewing the implemented tasks and following up on the stages of execution and their compliance with standards and technical specifications, in the presence and participation of engineers from the National Litani River Authority.

The Ministry is implementing these works through the contractor, Al-Ra'ed Engineering and Contracting Establishment, aiming to rehabilitate the road and ensure public safety conditions and traffic flow, especially in the sector adjacent to Qaraoun Dam.

The works include the construction of water culverts under the road, the implementation of retaining walls and backfilling operations, in addition to repaving the damaged sections, contributing to restoring the road to a safe and sound condition and ensuring the continuity of traffic between Mshaghra and the West Bekaa towns.
