The Choueifat Municipality affirmed that the campaign to remove encroachments on public property and roads will proceed with the support of internal security forces.

The Municipality of Choueifat issued a statement confirming that the campaign to remove encroachments on public properties and roads is ongoing with the backing of the Internal Security Forces. The statement emphasized that the removals target violations by shops and commercial establishments whose owners had been repeatedly warned to remove these encroachments. It clarified that the campaign is unrelated to any camps or tents belonging to displaced persons.
The municipality warned that any assault on members of the Internal Security Forces or municipal personnel while performing their duties will be considered an attack on public authority and the dignity of the state. It stated that legal and judicial measures will be taken against perpetrators without leniency.
Additionally, the municipality strongly condemned the assault on the commander of the Choueifat police station, who is recognized for his integrity, competence, dedication, and effective management of the city's security affairs. The statement expressed gratitude and appreciation to the officers and members of the Internal Security Forces for their high professionalism, discipline, and respectful interaction with citizens during the execution of the campaign, ensuring the enforcement of the law and protection of the public interest.
