The Municipality of Tyre called on all owners and property holders to act with a spirit of national and humanitarian responsibility and to consider the conditions of citizens when determining rental rates, in light of the difficult circumstances caused by the Israeli aggression.

The Municipality of Tyre announced in a statement today that "in light of the difficult circumstances that the city of Tyre and its residents have experienced due to the Israeli aggression and the damage, displacement, and economic and social suffering it has caused, the municipality calls on all owners and property holders to act with a spirit of national and humanitarian responsibility and to consider the conditions of citizens when determining rental rates."
The municipality called on owners and property holders to "refrain from imposing unjustified or exaggerated increases on rental rates, and to adopt reasonable and fair prices that take into account the exceptional circumstances the people are living through - to act in a spirit of solidarity and social cooperation, away from any form of exploitation that exacerbates the suffering of affected families - to consider families that have suffered from displacement, evacuation, and losses resulting from the war, and to stand by them in this critical stage - the necessity of organizing and registering all rental contracts with the Municipality of Tyre according to legal procedures, to preserve the rights of all parties and ensure transparency and good organization."
The municipality pointed out that it "will follow up on this file in cooperation with the relevant authorities, in a way that preserves the public interest and enhances social stability in the city."
