Nabih Berri on Hezbollah: "The Relationship Was Closer During Nasrallah's Era"
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stated that his relationship with Hezbollah was closer during the tenure of former leader Hassan Nasrallah, while affirming support for the Lebanese Army and participation in upcoming government sessions.

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri confirmed that "his health is good," but expressed concern about the general situation in the country, stating: "My health is fine, but the country's health is not."
Attention turns to the cabinet session amid the explosives shipment file, where several ministers are expected to demand its referral to the Justice Council. In this context, Berri stressed, in an interview with "Sawt Kol Lubnan," participation in tomorrow's scheduled cabinet meeting, confirming: "We will participate in the government session tomorrow." When asked about the possibility of withdrawing when the topic is raised, he replied: "We will not withdraw."
Berri pointed out the existence of a law regulating the referral of files to the Justice Council, emphasizing the necessity of dealing with the issue within its legal framework.
Regarding the role of the Lebanese Army and the tasks assigned to it in the south, Berri stressed that "the army is a red line," affirming: "We are with the army," in response to a question about fears of potential clashes if a decision is made to execute the required tasks in the south.
On the level of relations with "Hezbollah," Berri noted that the relationship was closer during the days of the party's former Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, stressing the principle of no older brother and no younger brother.
