In an incident that began as a family dispute and ended with a prominent security surprise, a force from the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces raided the home of the suspect Hani Jawad in the Ras al-Naba area of Beirut this morning, only to discover that the place concealed far more than just a personal disagreement.

According to details obtained by the Mtv website, the dispute began with heated arguments between Jawad and his wife's family, escalating into gunfire that resulted in his sister-in-law being struck by a stray bullet. As a result, a patrol from the Information Branch moved in and raided the home, where the major surprise came with the discovery of an unexpected military "arsenal" inside the residential apartment.

The items seized by the branch inside the home included military rifles, several RPG rocket-propelled grenades, a quantity of detonators, as well as detailed maps of the Ras al-Naba area. During initial interrogations, Jawad openly admitted that he belongs to "Hezbollah".

But the surprises did not stop there. The raiding force members noticed an electrical wire extending suspiciously from Jawad's home to a nearby commercial shop. Immediately, the Information Branch expanded the operation and raided the aforementioned store, where they found a large number of mobile phones along with DVR devices dedicated to surveillance cameras, raising questions about the nature of the activity being run from that location.

This raid once again highlights the danger of illegal weapons and unlawful networks in the heart of residential neighborhoods and the capital, as security agencies, under the supervision of the competent judiciary, continue investigations to uncover all the details of the case and the true backgrounds behind the possession of these quantities of weapons and maps.
