The Parliamentary Committee on Education, Higher Education and Culture held a session this morning, chaired by its president Hassan Morad and committee rapporteur MP Edgard Traboulsi, in the presence of Minister of Education and Higher Education Reema Karami, and member MPs: Ihab Hamada, Osama Saad, Ali Khreiss, Ashraf Baydoun, Selim Sayegh, Bilal Hashimi, Nazih Matta, Adnan Traboulsi, Cesar Abi Khalil, Paula Yacoubian, Bilal Abdullah, Firas Hamdan and Jihad Al-Samad.

Also attending were: Acting Director General of Education Imad Al-Ashqar, Director of Primary Education George Daoud, Advisor to the Minister of Education Dr. Georgia Al-Hashem, and Advisor to the Minister of Education Fahmi Karami.

The committee discussed the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's plan for the new 2026-2027 academic year and reviewed the measures and procedures taken to ensure its proper launch.

During the session, the ministry presented its plan and key adopted measures and preparations, while the committee members discussed various educational files with the ministry, emphasizing "the importance of administrative and academic readiness for the regular and sound start of the academic year."
