Photos: Drug Labs Seized in Iaat and Sharouna
Lebanese Army units raided drug manufacturing sites in Iaat and Sharouna, seizing equipment and arresting suspects for weapons possession and illegal residency.

The following statement was issued by the Lebanese Army – Guidance Directorate:
An army unit raided a house used for manufacturing and trafficking drugs in the town of Iaat – Baalbek, seizing quantities of narcotics along with raw materials, equipment, and machinery for drug production. The unit also arrested citizen (M.Q.) wanted for firing shots in the vicinity of the house.

Another unit raided houses of wanted individuals in the Sharouna area – Baalbek, arresting citizen (M.J.) for firing shots, and Syrians (H.H.) and (M.H.) for moving within Lebanese territory without legal documents. A war weapon and equipment used for drug manufacturing were seized.

Another unit arrested citizen (A.J.) in the Port of Al-Husn – Beirut area for trafficking drugs.

Additionally, an army unit at the Nabaa Al-Mawj checkpoint – Baalbek, arrested citizen (B.K.) and citizen (Y.F.) for possessing military pistols.
Seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees began under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
