Port of Beirut Employees' Union Election Ends with Victory for This List
The executive council election at the Beirut Port Authority concluded with a win for the "Maritime Family" list, which includes several key candidates. The newly elected members were welcomed by the board chairman, who praised their commitment to port development.
Electoral voting for the executive council of the Beirut Port Workers' Union took place at the Beirut Port Authority administration and investment office, with representatives from the Ministry of Labor in attendance, resulting in a victory for the "Maritime Family" list, comprising:
Abir Muhayyo, Kawthar Shouman, Abdullah Aqad, Jean Refoul, Rola Sleiman, Philippe Atallah, Samer El-Skaf, Khalil Zeiter, Roy Lundes, Ghassan Harsh, Mazen Mzabdi, and Ziyad Al-Haj Hassan.
Chairman of the Board, General Manager Marwan Naffi, received the winning list members, congratulating them and wishing them success in their union duties.
Naffi emphasized that "the union and the management are one body when the goal is shared, which is advancing the management and developing staff," underscoring his "support for the union and his commitment to encouraging all ideas and proposals that can contribute to improving operations and enhancing the port's performance."
