President Aoun Calls to Avoid Justifications for Israel's Non-Withdrawal

President Joseph Aoun met with French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian in Baabda, where he welcomed the assistance of friendly and brotherly countries in maintaining the ceasefire.

President Aoun stressed the importance of not giving Israel any justifications for failing to withdraw and noted that every effort in this regard would have positive effects on the negotiations.

For his part, Le Drian affirmed that his visit to Lebanon was to express France's support, solidarity, and concern for Lebanon's affairs.
