President Aoun Discusses Preparations to Implement Framework Agreement

President Michel Aoun received Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of the US Central Command, at Baabda Palace. The meeting was attended by Keith Hanigan, the acting US ambassador in Beirut, and General Joseph Clearfield, head of the mechanism team.

The discussion focused on preparations related to the commencement of implementing the framework agreement approved following the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations held in Washington.

President Aoun expressed gratitude to Admiral Cooper for the attention shown by US President Donald Trump towards Lebanon's security and stability. He affirmed the Lebanese state's determination to extend its authority to the international southern borders through its armed forces.
