Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun expressed deep satisfaction with the progress of discussions held at the Paris preparatory meeting for the Lebanon Army and Internal Security Forces support conference, which took place today at the "Palais de l'Infante" in Paris, highly commending the efforts made by French President Emmanuel Macron and Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein in preparing this meeting, as well as their continuous commitment to supporting Lebanon during this delicate phase in its history.

He also thanked the international countries and organizations that participated in the meeting, considering their involvement a clear indication of Lebanon's standing in the eyes of these entities.

Before departing the French capital on his return to Beirut, the President expressed hope that the needs of the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces, as presented in the reports submitted by the Lebanese delegation attending the meeting, would receive the required response from friendly and allied nations, enabling the strengthening of the military and security institutions and empowering them to fulfill their national missions.

He reiterated the fundamental Lebanese principles, foremost among them safeguarding national sovereignty, preserving national dignity, and ensuring that weapons are exclusively in the hands of the Lebanese state, stressing the pivotal role played by the Lebanese Army in establishing state authority across all Lebanese territory, particularly in the south following its liberation, thereby reinforcing national stability and securing unity.
