President Aoun Receives Official Invitation for Patriarch Howayek's Beatification Ceremony
President Joseph Aoun received an official invitation to attend the beatification ceremony of Patriarch Elias Howayek scheduled for July 25.

President Joseph Aoun welcomed Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Hanna Alwan, who led a delegation from the Maronite Holy Family Sisters Association.
During the meeting, Bishop Alwan conveyed greetings from the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi to President Aoun and affirmed the Patriarch’s support for the path the President is leading to rescue Lebanon.
The Superior General of the association, Mother Marie-Antoinette Saadeh, presented an official invitation to President Aoun to attend the formal celebration marking the beatification of the association’s founder, the honored Patriarch Elias Howayek.
The event is scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, July 25, at the Patriarchal complex in Diman. It will be presided over by Patriarch Al-Rahi and attended by the personal envoy of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints at the Holy See, who will read the papal decree announcing the beatification during the ceremony.
