President Joseph Aoun firmly rejects Iranian involvement in Lebanon and urges Hezbollah to pursue negotiations to resolve the crisis.

President Joseph Aoun delivered a message to Iran, firmly rejecting any interference in Lebanon's internal affairs.
In an interview with CNN, President Aoun opposed using Lebanon as a bargaining chip in negotiations with the United States, urging Hezbollah to adopt negotiations as a solution to preserve what remains. He emphasized that diplomacy is the only way out of the crisis.
He stated, "My message to Iran is that our interests do not align with yours. I say to Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naeem Qassem that the Lebanese people are not your people." He stressed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard must understand that Lebanon is their country, not Iran's.
