President Joseph Aoun met with the head of the Teachers Syndicate Naama Mahfoud, stating that wars lead only to destruction and poverty. Mahfoud called for closing the chapter on wars and establishing a culture of peace and stability.
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received the head of the Teachers Syndicate, Naama Mahfoud, at the head of a delegation from the syndicate, and said: "Wars do not lead to any result, and bring nothing to countries but destruction, and bring nothing to peoples but poverty."
For his part, Mahfoud affirmed that "the Teachers Syndicate sees that the time has come to close the page of wars definitively, and to consolidate a culture of peace and stability. The Lebanese have grown tired of conflicts, and they aspire to a strong and neutral state that monopolizes its decision and sovereignty, and protects its children through law and institutions, not through the logic of conflicts and divisions."
