President Aoun Wishes Pope a Speedy Recovery: Lebanon Prays for His Holiness

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun wished His Holiness Pope Leo XIV a speedy recovery following the surgery he underwent, and a full return to health, accompanied by God's grace and protection.

This came in a message addressed by President Aoun to the Supreme Pontiff, conveying the feelings and prayers of the Lebanese people, affirming that his apostolic visit to Lebanon remains firmly rooted in their hearts and national and spiritual conscience, regardless of their sects.

President Aoun noted that Lebanon is praying for His Holiness, seeking the intercession of Saint Charbel, whose shrine he visited, so that God may grant him complete healing. He wished that his period of convalescence be short and peaceful, and that he soon regain his strength and health to continue his sacred mission in service of peace, reconciliation, mercy, and hope, in a world more than ever in need of the light and guidance of the Gospel.
