Republic President Joseph Aoun is conducting a tour in Tripoli.

From the Saray of Tripoli, President Aoun affirmed, "My visit is to tell the people of Tripoli that the state exists and is always by your side. To restore trust, we must secure services for the citizen, for human dignity requires that the state provide services and make them available to everyone. This is how we rebuild trust."

He said, "There is no development without security, and here comes the role of security agencies in ensuring the safety of the citizen. It is our duty to serve the citizen."

He added, "Tripoli has suffered greatly from neglect, and it is time to put an end to it. There are projects for the people of Tripoli, all aimed at creating job opportunities for the residents of the region," noting that "when there is firm will, all obstacles and difficulties disappear. The important thing is to place the interest of the citizen above all considerations."
