Prime Minister Nawaf Salam Welcomes UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Volker Türk, along with his team. Salam welcomed their visit and commended the efforts of the expert group tasked with preparing the report on violations related to international humanitarian law since October 2023.

Salam also expressed the government's interest in the continued work of the team in collecting and documenting evidence related to potential war crimes, particularly from a neutral international entity such as the United Nations.
