Prime Minister Salam Concludes Washington Visit with Meeting of Lebanese Embassy Staff

Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam concluded his visit to Washington and the United States with a meeting with the Lebanese Embassy team, attended by Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Mouawad, Deputy Chief of Mission Wissam Boutros, First Secretary and Consul Khaled Hamadeh, First Secretary and Consul Dana Ghazaleh, Military Attaché Brigadier General Oliver Hakim, along with administrative staff and trainees at the embassy.

President Salam thanked the embassy team for their efforts, particularly during the visit, and exchanged views with them on the embassy's work and its role in serving Lebanon and Lebanese citizens in the United States, as well as strengthening Lebanese-American relations.

Salam had previously met in Washington with the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Jim Risch, the Ranking Member of the Committee, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, and Committee members Senators Chris Coons and Tim Kaine, attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Youssef Rajji and Ambassador Mouawad.

The meetings discussed Lebanese-American relations, developments in Lebanon and the region, the government's efforts to restore full Lebanese sovereignty and extend state authority over all its territory, in addition to the path of reforms and economic recovery.
