Qatar: We Reject Israeli Statements on Annexing Areas in Southern Lebanon and Gaza Strip

Qatar expressed its complete rejection of Israeli statements regarding the annexation of areas in southern Lebanon and areas extending up to the "Yellow Line" in the Gaza Strip, considering them a blatant challenge to international law and international legitimacy resolutions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel the Israeli occupation government to halt its expansionist plans and settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The ministry reaffirmed Qatar's firm position supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people, based on ending the occupation and enabling them to achieve their legitimate rights, foremost among which is establishing an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. It also affirmed its firm stance towards the brotherly Lebanese Republic and its sovereignty over all its territory.
