Raji to Washington... and a second visit by President Aoun?

Far from the ongoing Lebanese-Israeli negotiations taking place in Rome, diplomatic sources informed News of the Day agency that plans are underway to arrange a visit by a Lebanese diplomatic delegation to Washington, likely led by Lebanese Foreign Minister Joseph Raji, with participation from Lebanon's ambassador to the United States, Nada Moughrabi Hamadeh, and members of the negotiating team.

The purpose of this visit, according to the information, is to follow up on the summit meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and it is also closely tied to American preparations regarding the region.

These sources also indicate the possibility that President Aoun may make a second visit to the White House next autumn to attend an expanded meeting also including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman or Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, as part of preparations for the upcoming phase titled "Peace in the Middle East."
